For electronics developers in the automotive value chain, MES provider Sitronic GmbH now offers a prototyping service that embraces the electronic and plastic components of a system. The service is optimized for short return times and is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Sitronic adds this service to its existing services range of manufacturing services. The new high-speed service includes the procurement of all components, manufacturing of plastic parts on a prototype level, and molding the PCBs at sizes of up to 330 x 240 mm. Optionally, a qualified test report based on X-Ray probing is available. In addition, the findings gained in the prototype production can be integrated into the serial production.

The service is available depending on individual agreements around the clock, seven days a week. A company spokesperson pointed out that the prototype products not necessarily meet the requirements for use in serial vehicles - instead, the intention to support design departments in creating prototype controllers for tests under high time pressure. "Our unique selling proposal is turn-around speed for parts that combine electronics and plastic molding", the spokesperson pointed out.
