The FDA2100LV's architecture with built-in low-radiation function, floating digital core, anti-cross conduction, and slope control minimizes tuner interference, enhances cellphone immunity, and simplifies compliance with relevant emissions standards such as EN 55025 or ISO 11452-2 (2004). In addition, a proprietary feedback-loop design around the output filter optimizes system performance in terms of electromagnetic interference (EMI), harmonic distortion (THD), and frequency response. With these properties, the amplifier ensures high audio performance using low-cost external components.
With the 2x180W model FDA2100LV, ST complements its full digital amplifier product range, currently consisting of the 4x50W FDA450LV and the 4x135W FDA4100LV. The FDA2100LV gives designers additional flexibility to create 2-, 4- or 6-channel configurations, or combine outputs as a single high-power channel down to 1Ω. As the industry's first digital-input automotive class-D family, these amplifiers connect noiselessly to the digital audio processor without a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) or input filter.
Further features include I2C control as well as digital diagnostics, a superior SNR of 110dB and a dynamic range of 108dB. Stop-start compatibility ensures constant sound quality without distortion or interruption when the battery voltage dips during engine cranking.
