As a result of the added functionality, measurement signals are transmitted via Ethernet to IPEmotion or to external software in parallel with data acquisition in order to capture the data in the logger. In addition, IPEmotion V01.06.02 allows multi-licensing via a USB dongle that offers both download and upload capabilities. The USB dongle is used to store licenses, for instance for a department or a company. When authorized licenses are available, they can be allocated anywhere by inserting the dongle into the desired PC (download function). When a user no longer needs a given license, it can be returned it by reinserting the dongle (upload). Once that is done, the license becomes available again for use elsewhere on another PC.

Other new features include a static measurement window in the analysis area for clear numeric display of the cursor values (x, y) in the corresponding measurement window. There are also new import functions for accelerated loading of A2L description files. The modification to the import function makes it possible to import large control unit description files (*.A2L) more quickly. Version V01.06.02 of IPEmotion enables support for template-based custom pre-configuration. This provides a basis for defining systems and individual modules that have already been configured as standard configurations. Then, when a new system or module is added, the stored settings are used. This saves a considerable amount of time when setting up identical or similar configurations. Another new feature is the synchronization of zoom operations across all display elements. When this data analysis function is activated, the time axes for all Y-t diagrams in the measurement window are synchronized during zooming and scrolling (which means that they maintain the same scaling and starting point).

IPEmotion is a software solution for online configuration, storage, processing, visualisation, evaluation, and automation. Measured values can be visualised in real time, and standardized description files, such as GSD can be used for configuration. To simplify further processing in downstream processes such as Excel, the measurement data can be stored directly in many common formats.
