At the Geneva Motor Show, Harman International presents two software systems that enable OEMs and suppliers to bring highly personalized audio and infotainment solutions to vehicles.

The products under the names "Configurable Entertainment" and "Summit" were developed on the basis of Harman's software platform Audioworx. In Audioworx, Samsung subsidiary Harman combines its expertise in user experience (UX) design, acoustics and signal processing.

The Harman AudioworX platform consists of three main components:

  • Open software platform: A unified platform that enables rapid porting to different hardware and offers a high degree of flexibility, efficiency and reusability in a shorter time.
  • Library: A Digital Signal Processing (DSP) library consisting of more than 200 components that speeds up the delivery of new audio functions.
  • Tuning tools: A dedicated toolkit provides intelligent, seamless and intuitive configuration options that allow you to control audio systems and NVH algorithms. This simplifies the tuning of automotive sound design. This applies not only to sound systems, but also to noise management in the vehicle.

Harman AudioworX helps automotive manufacturers to respond to rapidly changing trends in consumer behavior, enabling faster market maturity and lower overall costs. Developers can create new entertainment experiences for vehicle interiors using both proprietary and Harman software solutions.
