The XSG AC Motor Control Library facilitates programming of FGPA-based motor control Applications. Examples are electric powertrains in mild and full hybrid vehicles, battery electric vehicles, electromechanical and electrohydraulic actuators, electric power steering and electrification of ancillary devices like pumps for oil and coolant. The software runs on the dSpace MicroAutoBox II, Scalexio and on modular dSpace systems. It shifts the control loop to reconfigurable hardware which facilitates the development of control rates of 100kHz and more, resulting in high positioning accuracy and speed. The library also enables high-speed processing of measurement signals from rotary encoders, incremental encoders and resolvers as well as generating of PWM signals. With dSpace’s RTI FPGA Programming Blockset developers can combine the necessary components as required.
