V2X diagnosis system emulates infrastructure

June 14, 2017 // By Christoph Hammerschmidt
The waveBee touch tablet computer receives and stores vehicle-to-vehicle communication processes. Through its play function it enables users to analyze the data traffic between vehicles and related infrastructure.

With the Heavy Duty C2X diagnostic system waveBEE touch, Nordsys GmbH (Braunschweig, Germany) presents a highly mobile tablet that supports both ETSI ITS and the IEEE WAVE standard. The different message types such as CAM, DENM, SPAT, MAP or BSM are displayed on an interactive map and can be analyzed in detail. The autarkic waveBEE touch ensures that the C2X transmitters send the desired, correct messages and is thus optimally suited for the validation and diagnosis of complex C2X applications. The integrated functions for recording and playing the data enable a detailed analysis of entire C2X fleets in the case of integration tests on site without further complex diagnostic systems.

Announced for the fourth quarter of 2017, Nordsys GmbH also presents the waveBee to-go, which enables field tests without additional infrastructures. Via the application for iOS and Android tablets, applications as well as dynamic V2X scenarios can be created directly on site. With waveBee to-go, V2X test environments can be directly configured and implemented. It is also possible to create V2X messages, which can be analyzed with the waveBEE touch.

Availability of the configurable infrastructure emulator is scheduled for 4Q 2017.
