By providing much higher temperature capabilities than the industry standard + 150 °C or + 175 °C, the TH5 provides designers with a price-competitive and reliable option for very high-temperature applications. The capacitors are optimized for oil exploration and drilling sensing systems; industrial applications related to the control of high-temperature materials; safety-critical industrial tools and products; and automotive applications.
The TH5 series is offered in a molded package in the 7.3 mm by 4.3 mm E case size (EIA 7343-43) with a 4 mm profile. The devices offer an operating temperature range of - 55 °C to + 200 °C, and capacitance tolerances of ± 10 % and ± 20 %.
The capacitors are 100 % surge current tested and feature gold-plated terminations. The RoHS-compliant devices are suitable for high-volume automatic and manual pick-and-place equipment, and they are capable of withstanding lead (Pb)-free soldering reflow conditions.
Samples and production quantities of the new TH5 series are available now, with lead times of 12 to 15 weeks for larger orders. Follow TANTAMOUNT capacitors at http://twitter.com/vishayindust.
