Alexa's capabilities not only affect vehicle-related functions, but everything that is also covered by Alexa in the home or on the road. It is also possible to control compatible smart home devices from within the vehicle. In this upgrade, Amazon Alexa is available for Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Spain and Italy. Alexa integration will be extended to other countries in future upgrades.
The personal driver profile in the BMW can now be transferred to other BMW vehicles via QR code scan with the My BMW app, including rental vehicles. Climate and navigation settings and favourites are automatically transferred to the target vehicle. As also applies to personal settings such as seat position or preferred driver assistance settings. If the customer has linked his profile to the vehicle key, his settings are loaded as soon as he opens the vehicle.
