dSPACE strengthens data-driven development through Intempora acquisition
Development tool provider dSPACE has acquired the French real-time software specialist Intempora. With this acquisition, dSPACE intends to strengthen its product portfolio in the field of autonomous driving. Previously, the company had a long-standing partnership with the French software company; dSPACE has been reselling Intempora products since 2016.

Probably the most important result of the collaboration between the two companies was the integration of Intempora's real-time multi-sensor application software RTMaps into several dSPACE solutions.

Since software is regarded as a key component of intelligent vehicles, the RTMaps software could become a key driver in the development of algorithms for autonomous driving - from rapid prototyping on PCs to use on embedded platforms and the latest ECUs. The software excels with its versatility in capturing, time stamping, synchronizing and replaying data from different sensors.

Other Intempora solutions include the data tagging software RTag and the Intempora Validation Suite (IVS) - a cloud-based data management platform. IVS analyzes and manages large amounts of recorded data on the scale of many petabytes and ensures that relevant driving scenarios can be found quickly. Intempora's individual software tools round out the functional scope of the dSPACE product range for data-driven development and close the gap between data recording, data management and software validation.

Founded in 2000, Intempora has more than 20 years of experience and expertise in providing innovative software solutions for the automotive industry, particularly in real-time multisensor applications. The software is used in the development of autonomous vehicles, driver assistance systems (ADAS) or robot systems.
