Dutch 5G photonics startup raises Series B funding
Effect Photonics, a Dutch developer of high performance optical System-on-Chip devices, has raised Series B funding to commercialise its technology for next generation 5G and IoT networks.
company has a deal with Skylane Optics to supply optical DWDM tunable SFP+ optical transceivers to telecom operators across Europe, North and South America.

This funding also allows us to really push forward with our next-generation technology programme to bring even more powerful optical systems to the edges of the network,” added CTO Boudewijn Docter.

Innovation Industries is an independent venture capital fund that combines company-building and venture investment through partnerships with all four Dutch technical universities - Eindhoven, Twente, Delft and Wageningen and applied research institute TNO.
