Electrolytic capacitors with high capacitance
Panasonic’s is introducing the ZKU series of large-capacitance conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors for use in automotive Electronic Control Units.

According to the vendor, the new ZKU series has achieved the industry's largest capacitance in the segment of conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors. The reason for the record: Panasonic is using an electrode foil area expansion processing technology. The increased capacitance will enable reduction in the number of capacitors necessary and compact size, contributing to the downsizing of automotive ECUs.

More and more ECUs are used in a single car in order to improve the safety and reliability, and design for downsizing boards is necessary for securing mounting space. With the new series, Panasonic is responding to this demand.
