High-current automotive shunts, in distribution
Ideal for high current applications, the PSx series of shunts has just been expanded by KOA. Constructed using a solid metal alloy resistance element with copper terminations the device also has a low TC and excellent pulse characteristics. These shunt resistors are ideal for accurate high current sensing in automotive applications as well as in industrial and high pulse power applications.

Featuring current ratings up to 244A, the PSx shunts target automotive-related current sensing applications, requiring ultra-low resistance (0.2 to 4 mΩ) and robust construction, for example for ECUs, EPS, ABS, motor control, EV/HEV and BMS. Likewise, they are well suited for use in DC/DC converters frequency converters and intelligent power modules.

With their excellent long-term stability and pulse withstand performance, these shunt resistors can be used under high operating temperatures up to 170°C. They are EU RoHS-compliant and AEC-Q200 qualified.

The PSx series from KOA is now available through electronic component distributor TTI Europe.
