Hyundai Autron taps TTTech Auto expertise for safety software platform
Austrian technology company TTTech Auto and Hyundai Autron, the R&D arm of the eponymous Korean carmaker, have signed an agreement to jointly develop a safety software platform for series-built autonomous vehicles.

The planned software solution will incorporate the Hyundai Motor’s standard software platform product offering and TTTech Auto’s series-proven safety software MotionWise as an integral part of a Electronic Control Unit (ECU) that controls both Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Automated Driving. For TTTech Auto, this project is another key design-in win after recent success stories in Europe and Asia.

Hyundai Autron (Seoull, Korea) is part of Hyundai Motor Group and specializes in the electronic automotive control solutions, including the development of automotive semiconductors, ECUs, and automotive software. The company is engaged with Hyundai Motors Company, Kia Motors Corporation, Hyundai Mobis, Mando Corporation and other automotive tech players. One of Hyundai Autron’s core activities is developing a software platform for Hyundai based on the international Autosar standard. This platform product offering will be an integral part of the joint solution to be integrated in future ADAS / AD ECUs.

Austrian TTTech Auto specializes in safe software and hardware platforms for automated driving and beyond. TTTech Auto’s flagship product is MotionWise, a scalable safety software platform that acts as the safety mastermind for automated driving within a vehicle architecture.
