The VN5620 from Vector is a compact interface for analysis, simulation and test tasks for automotive Ethernet networks and CAN/CAN FD. Test engineers benefit from a wide range of application options such as Ethernet monitoring, residual bus simulation, media conversion and direct access to individual ports.

Developers can cover a wide range of application areas with the VN5620. For example, Ethernet monitoring ensures a transparent connection between two nodes with precise time stamps. Free hardware configuration options allow users to design a flexible restbus simulation with CANoe .Ethernet. In addition, the VN5620 has media conversion functions and a data link between 100BASE-T1/1000BASE-T1 and 100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T physical layer. The VN5620 allows testers individual access to each port. This allows the user to test several identical systems on one test bench and perform vehicle diagnostics.

The VN5620's flexible configuration options make it easy for users to handle high data rates. Testers can implement different test requirements by combining different segmentation types. Storing configurations on the VN5620 enables rapid recovery of device configurations. This can also be activated without a PC connection. Users can use the VN5620, either as a network interface or as an expansion device for the VN8914. The VN8914 is a modular high-performance interface hardware with a wide range of possible channel combinations for CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, J1708 and K-Line from Vector.

The VN5620 can be used both at office workstations and on test benches - temperature and voltage ranges are designed accordingly.
