Monolithically integrated linear Hall sensor for ASIL D
Infineon is the first manufacturer to introduce a monolithically integrated linear Hall sensor that is fully compliant with the ISO26262 functional safety standard for automotive applications.

With the TLE4999I3, two magnetic ranges of ±12.5 mT and 25 mT can be set. These low values make it possible to use relatively small and thus inexpensive magnets. 

The device has a PSI5 communication interface. From a physical point of view, it is a current interface whose advantages are low wiring effort and excellent electromagnetic performance. The TLE4999I3 is well suited for applications in which it is connected to the control unit over long distances: it supports cable lengths up to 12m.

The TLE4999I3 sensor is housed in a PG-SSO-3 package, which offers a high degree of design flexibility with its small footprint and design. The device is qualified according to AEC-Q100 Grade 0 and can therefore also be used in applications with permanent ambient temperatures of 150°C. The PG-SSO-3 package is designed for use in applications with high ambient temperatures.
