Static code analysis suite is FuSa certified
Software for the development of function-critical functions - for example for automotive applications - requires certification for functional safety (FuSa) standards such as ISO 26262. The tool suite for static code analysis from tool manufacturer Axivion can now boast such certification.

Software developers of automotive and medical technology applications as well as other electronic systems with strict functional safety requirements now have a powerful toolset at their disposal that ensures compliance with the highest safety standards from the start of the project to all software updates and upgrades. The certificate, issued by SGS-TÜV Saar, is valid for Axivion Suite from Release 7.1.

When selecting their tools, developers of safety-critical software pay attention to their classification and qualification for the respective area of application - regardless of certification. The certified SCA package of Axivion Suite fulfils the requirements of ISO 26262:2018 up to ASIL D, IEC 61508 up to SIL 4 and IEC 62304 up to Class C with automated checks for the coding guidelines MISRA C, MISRA C++ and Autosar C++14.

For this purpose, the software manufacturer offers a qualification kit consisting of a safety manual and ready-made test suites for style checks according to MISRA and Autosar C++14. The suites automate test execution and result evaluation as well as validation tests for software updates and upgrades of the development environment. This makes the Axivion Suite fully suitable for use in safety-relevant development projects, especially in the automotive sector, and also paves the way for safety certification of the developed software itself. The suite is also certified for use in medical technology.

The automated checks for the implementation of the software architecture and the static code analysis not only mean cost and work savings for users; they also ensure the quality of the code base in the long term.
