µModule isolators provide 7.5kV isolation for automotive, industrial systems
Designed for deployment in electric and hybrid electric vehicle systems, medical and test & measurement equipment as well as industrial applications, the LTM2810 µModule isolators from analog Device offer up to 7.5 kVRMS of isolation. The devices are now available for distribution from Mouser Electronics.

The Linear Technology LTM2810 µModule isolators feature separate logic supply pins, supporting interfacing with different logic levels ranging from 1.6 V to 5.5 V. The devices coupled isolators are powered on each side by 3 V to 5.5 V supplies and provide 7.5 kV RMS of isolation for one minute between the input and output logic interface. Ideal for systems with different ground potentials, the LTM2810 µModule isolators enable uninterrupted communication through large common mode transients faster than 50 kV/µs.

The isolators feature an integrated transformer driver on the logic side and a low-dropout (LDO) regulator on the isolated side, regulating the rectified transformer output. The complete galvanic digital isolators require no external components and are available in SPI and I 2C (with master mode-only support) compatible variants. They boast high-speed operation, with 400 kHz I 2C isolation, 4 MHz / 8 MHz SPI isolation, and 10 MHz digital isolation. The LTM2810 µModule isolators feature 16.2 mm creepage and offer a maximum continuous working voltage of 1 kV RMS and 1.6 kVDC.
