Vehicle tracking system detects panic braking
With a 6-axis gyro sensor, the new imt.x1 vehicle tracking system can sense three-dimensional vehicle movements caused by panic braking as well as uncontrolled yaw and spin motions. With connectivity options including dual CANBus and Bluetooth, the system is also eCall compatible and captures and provides data for accident analysis.

Jointly developed by vehicle telematics and fleet management system provider Arvento Mobile Systems and Swiss positioning technology expert u-blox, the imt.x1 is addressing the demand of fleet operators in the first place.

Collaboration with u-blox was a key factor in the imt.x1 product development process and the system’s high position sensitivity and accuracy are based on integration of u-blox’s 2G, 4G and 5G-ready cellular modules as well as GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) modules, says Arvento.
