Visteon provides advanced HMI for new Ford F-150
Automotive tier one supplier Visteon Corp. has introduced a new digital cluster for the 2021 Ford F-150. Leaving the traditional gauge design behind and establishing interface enhancements with state-of-the art HMI, Visteon's solution integrates high resolution graphics that deliver realistic drive modes for a wide range of roads, environments and weather conditions.

Visteon's 12.4-inch digital cluster forms an integral element on an in-car user experience that takes visual aesthetics to the a new level, while prioritizing safety and connectivity for vehicle occupants.

The system provides software powered by Rightware's Kanzi architecture. The Kanzi UI framework progresses the F-150's traditional round-gauge instrument panel design to a digital vehicle model, allowing the collaboration between Ford and Visteon to deliver a user experience innovation platform that enables a advanced user interface.

Incorporating a large information-on-demand panel, the solution includes truck-specific graphics and animations that respond to the F-150's selectable drive modes as well as displaying off-roading data and turn-by-turn navigation.
